Description

Our large client is looking for a detail-oriented SEC Reporting Analyst to join their team on a long-term contract basis. The company is based in Franklin, Tennessee, but the work will be done remotely. This role requires a strong understanding of financial reporting, technical accounting, and compliance with SEC regulations. The successful candidate will handle complex reporting tasks and contribute to the preparation of financial statements while ensuring accuracy and adherence to required standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and update footnotes for annual 10-K filings, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations.

• Collaborate on the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including 10-K and potentially 10-Q reports.

• Manage financial reporting tasks related to derivatives, pensions, and cash flow statements.

• Utilize software tools such as ActiveDisclosure, Oracle, and Blackline to perform reconciliations and journal entries.

• Analyze and report on technical accounting matters, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and standards.

• Generate summary reports and manage ledger-related processes to support accurate financial reporting.

• Work independently to ensure timely and accurate completion of reporting tasks.

• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to resolve reporting issues and ensure compliance.

• Develop and enhance processes for financial reporting and documentation.

• Support the release process and provide detailed reports using tools like GL Wand and SSRS.

Requirements

• Proven experience with SEC reporting, including preparation of 10-K and 10-Q filings.

• Proficiency in financial reporting tools such as ActiveDisclosure, Oracle, Blackline, and GL Wand.

• Strong understanding of derivatives, pensions, and cash flow statements.

• Familiarity with technical accounting principles and practices.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and drive results.
