Description
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client's team in Houston, Texas. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an opportunity to take ownership of the accounts receivable process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in billing, collections, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-volume environment, bring a proactive approach to problem solving, and have a strong foundation in accounting practices.
Responsibilities:
• Generate and distribute invoices accurately and promptly, managing a high volume of transactions.
• Oversee the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including billing, collections, reconciliations, and adjustments.
• Analyze and monitor Aging Reports to identify overdue accounts and ensure timely follow-up.
• Collaborate with internal teams, such as Business Development, Operations, and Finance, to address billing disputes and improve workflows.
• Record cash receipts and wire payments with precision in accounting systems.
• Provide backup support for Accounts Payable tasks as needed.
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to streamline accounts receivable processes.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and resolution of payment issues.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, with a focus on high-volume invoicing.
• Proven ability to manage large transaction volumes with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Solid proficiency in accounting software, with preference for experience using industry-standard platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and reconciliations.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
• Self-motivated individual capable of working independently and meeting deadlines consistently.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
