Description

Robert Half is assisting a client in the financial services industry in hiring a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant. This role is perfect for experienced accounting professionals who excel in financial reporting, reconciliations, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

+ Perform account reconciliations, including bank and general ledger accounts.

+ Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy in reporting.

+ Prepare journal entries and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

+ Develop and implement internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting.

+ Collaborate with management to establish financial strategies and analyze data for forecasting.

+ Assist with budget development and expense tracking.

+ Coordinate with external auditors for audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.

+ Monitor and analyze variances between actual and budgeted results and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

+ Maintain compliance with state, federal, and local financial regulations.

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

+ CPA certification or progress toward certification strongly preferred.

+ 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior-level role

+ Advanced proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar programs.

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, macros, and formulas).

+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
