Meet the Team
You’ll be part of the Global Specialists Communications team, supporting the Security Chief Revenue Officer and the broader Global Security Sales organization. This skilled group of executive communicators is passionate about making an impact and delivering great work.
In this role, you’ll work in close partnership with extended communications and product teams, as well as stakeholders across the company, to ensure cohesive and aligned messaging. The team is focused, fast-paced, and adaptable, using data and storytelling to communicate our company’s vision and strategy to internal and external audiences.
Your Impact
As Communications Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and amplifying the voice of the Security Chief Revenue Officer and the Global Security Sales organization. With a sharp eye for both immediate impact and long-term strategy, you’ll craft innovative, authentic communications that inspire action and fuel growth across a global sales team.
You will directly support the Security Chief Revenue Officer and his organization at large. Your work will align closely with his top priorities, bringing clarity, cohesion, and energy to key initiatives, while driving engagement and alignment across regions and functions.
Your responsibilities include developing, implementing, and running internal and external communication strategies that align with the organization’s goals. You will support senior leadership by ensuring clear, consistent messaging across multiple channels and stakeholders. Additionally, you will translate complex security sales initiatives into accessible communications that drive understanding and action.
This role requires a proactive, strategic communicator with a deep understanding of the security sales landscape and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

+ Write and refine clear, engaging messages tailored to diverse employee groups to build understanding and inspire action.
+ Draft organizational announcements and run the timing and cascade of communications across the organization.
+ Partner with Security Seller Success team on enablement and All Hands content for sellers and leaders.

+ Manage and advise on business-critical communications related to security threats and breaches.
Who You Are
You are a self-starter who’s not afraid to challenge the status quo or address the “tough questions.” You’re constantly asking, “how can we improve” and “how does this impact my audience?” You are curious above all else. You are creative while being strategic and pragmatic with recommendations. You are analytical and capable of completing all of your deliverables with limited guidance and tight timelines. You embrace change and bring autonomy, critical thinking, and influence across the organization.
Minimum Requirements
+ 10+ years of experience in Executive Communications and/or Marketing within the security field, with a strong track record of delivering high-impact messaging.
+ Proven expertise in PowerPoint, with the ability to design and structure presentations that inform, influence, and inspire.

+ Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages across a variety of formats.
+ Adept at working cross-functionally—both virtually and in-person—with a strong spirit of partnership and collaboration.
+ Naturally resourceful and proactive; you know how to find answers, build relationships, and get things done by asking the right questions.
+ Comfortable presenting to diverse audiences—from individual contributors to executive leadership—with confidence and executive presence.
+ Skilled at managing competing priorities and driving multiple projects forward with focus, efficiency, and attention to detail

Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
