Position Summary:
St. Francis Hospital’s Cardiovascular Imaging Department is expanding its outpatient services with the opening of the new state-of-the-art Cardiac Imaging Center at 2200 Northern Blvd. We are seeking two full-time Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to join our dynamic care team. This is an exciting opportunity to support a high-volume, high-acuity cardiac imaging center providing PET/CT, SPECT, stress echo, and echocardiography services.
As an APP in this new facility, you will play a critical role in the evaluation, monitoring, and management of patients undergoing advanced cardiac imaging studies. You’ll work alongside cardiologists, technologists, and nurses to ensure high-quality, efficient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Conduct pre- and post-procedure assessments of patients undergoing stress imaging studies, including PET/CT, nuclear stress, and echocardiography.
+ Administer or supervise exercise or pharmacologic stress testing as required.
+ Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and proper response to testing protocols.
+ Collaborate with physicians and imaging staff to manage acute patient needs and assist in test interpretation when appropriate.
+ Document clinical findings, orders, and test outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
+ Assist with patient education regarding procedures, risks, and follow-up instructions.
+ Contribute to the development and implementation of care protocols and workflow improvements.
Qualifications:
+ Current NY State licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
+ Certification as an NP (Adult or Family) or PA-C
+ BLS and ACLS certification (required)
+ Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in cardiology, stress testing, or acute care preferred
+ Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, outpatient diagnostic setting
+ Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
+ Be part of the launch team for a newly constructed, cutting-edge Cardiac Imaging Center
+ Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team committed to clinical excellence and operational efficiency

Additional Details:
+ Hours: Full-time, flexible scheduling (anticipated expanded hours of operation)
+ Facility Features: 8 echo rooms, 1 stress echo room, 2 treadmill rooms, 1 PET/CT, 1 MyoSpect
+ Support Staff: Dedicated team of technologists, nurses, medical assistants, and front desk professionals
