Description

In this internship opportunity at Skyworks, you will learn and participate in advanced verification, design, and implementation of an edge IoT SoC device. You will work with seasoned engineering professionals and collaborate with subject matter experts within Skyworks. You will learn how ASIC development is conducted in the industry, from design to implementation. As part of the system architecture team, you will gain advanced technical knowledge of SoC architecture, design, and verification, as well as explore full-time job opportunities at Skyworks. We are excited to have you as part of our team to help start your professional growth and contribute to our success at Skyworks! This is a full-time 40-hour/week Summer internship on-site in our San Jose Design Center.

Term: Summer Internship (May '26 - Aug '26)

Responsibilities

In this role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

+ Working with experienced engineers to verify, design, and analyze an SoC architecture.

+ Apply architecture analysis to blocks, bus fabrics, memories, etc.

+ Work with System-C and System Verilog to model and analyze architectural performance.

+ Use industry-standard simulation and implementation tools.

+ Participate in reviews and present findings.

+ Collaborate with other engineers.

Required Experience and Skills

+ Must be currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering BS, MS, or PhD program.

+ Commitment to working on-site for 3 months or more.

+ Strong desire to learn, grow, and make an impact.

+ Strong interest in digital design and verification.

+ Strong background in processor architecture, digital design, and verification.

Desired Experience and Skills

+ Willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others.

+ Good communication and presentation skills.

+ Experience with Microsoft Office tools.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
