Work hours: Full Time; Flexible schedule am or pm shifts with rotating weekends
Food and Nutrition Services highlights:
Ability to create contemporary cuisine and demonstrate creativity in menu and recipe development daily as recognized by the Director/Manager. Ability to operate and instruct on all kitchen/cafeteria cooking/holding equipment. Extensive knowledge of product identification and utilization as well as purchasing procedures. Demonstrates good clear communication skills and basic computer skills. Ability to exercise independent sound judgement. Extensive knowledge of HACCAP and safe food practices.
Here's What You Need
Associate's degree Culinary Arts Pref
5 Years production/cooking experience in a moderate to high volume food service operation Req
2 Years experience in supervisory role at a food service establishment. Req
Licenses and Certifications
CFSM - Certified Food Safety Manager Upon Hire Req Or
FPM - Food Protection Manager Upon Hire Req And
FHC - Food Handlers Certificate 30 Days Req
What You Will Do
+ Organize and direct the execution and preparation of patient meals, cafeteria meals, and catering meals.
+ Ensure productivity requirements are met in regard to production team. Complete and administer annual staff performance evaluations for all production team members. Ensure all production team members complete all requirements set by Human Resources and Employee Health. Oversee training of all production team members.
+ Create appealing and cost-effective menus for special catering events, work with menu design team to create appealing and cost effective menus for patient services, and research and develop recipes for all items on all active menus.
+ Oversee, develop, create, implement, and train team members in safe food practices that met the standards of the department, the standards of the organization, the requirements of governmental regulations, and the requirements of The Joint Commission.
