As a **Senior Product Manager** , you’ll own key capabilities that make the our work management offerings smarter, more useful, and more intuitive to our users. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and ship AI-first features that delight users and deliver real value.

Responsibilities
+ Drive feature development by defining and delivering AI-powered capabilities that enhance collaboration and productivity within Planner.
+ Translate user needs into AI-first feature requirements, working closely with design, engineering, and research to build intuitive, context-aware product experiences.
+ Design and iterate on prompts, grounding strategies, and agent behaviors to ensure responses are accurate, relevant, and aligned with user intent.
+ Lead evaluations of agent performance using both qualitative and quantitative method including human-in-the-loop testing, prompt evaluation, grounding validation, and telemetry analysis.
+ Collaborate with Applied Science to align on model capabilities, data needs, and evaluation frameworks, ensuring features are technically feasible and scalable.
+ Partner with PMs across other product groups within M365 to ensure feature alignment and integration within the broader ecosystem.
+ Define success metrics for agent features and drive continuous improvement through experimentation, A/B testing, and user feedback.
+ Champion responsible AI practices, ensuring features are inclusive, secure, and aligned with Microsoft’s ethical AI principles.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product management or software development
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 3+ years experience taking a user-facing product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
+ 3+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
+ **Microsoft Cloud Background Check:** This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience shipping AI-powered products in production environments and growing it.
+ Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), grounding, and responsible AI principles.
+ Ability to navigate ambiguity across teams and balancing competing priorities, with a passion for problem-solving to consistently deliver defined outcomes.
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
