The **Finance Manager - Revenue Forecast & Planning Analytics** is an exciting role supporting one of Microsoft’s most exciting and scaled businesses that is being re-energized by AI. The role sits within the Cloud Applications Forecast & Planning Analytics team and will focus on developing and refining revenue forecast models, leveraging advanced analytics to inform fiscal year target setting and support strategic decision-making. This position is responsible for designing new descriptive and predictive business frameworks that illuminate current business performance and anticipate emerging trends and shifts. A key focus will be on translating complex data insights into clear narratives for leadership, enabling proactive responses to market dynamics and supporting the organization’s growth agenda. He or she will build robust, driver-based financial models to guide decision-making on business structure, strategy, pricing, revenue, target setting and strategic direction.

Prioritization
+ Financial modeling: Build robust, driver-based financial models to guide decision-making on business structure, strategy, pricing, revenue, and strategic direction
+ Financial analysis: Conduct financial analysis to provide health of business readouts and trends, and articulate those findings to finance and marketing leadership to support decision making
+ Rhythm of Business: Conduct regular revenue and key performance indicators reviews, develop quarterly forecast and target, and support business reviews
+ Business Health: Define and land key performance KPIs to assist in assessing FLW and EMS business health and driving strategic goals across Microsoft leadership and Microsoft’s sales organization
+ Annual target setting: Drive reporting, rhythms and deep horizontal analytics during the target setting process focused on sales motion and pricing level drivers in alignment with CPF and MCAPS
Partnership
+ Partner with our Cloud Applications Finance teams to help build the M365 story focused on the what and the why on business performance and actions that are required to ensure the business remains healthy, sustainable and able to hit short and long term goals
+ Provides business insights and recommendations to peers and stakeholders to achieve revenue and profitability goals and drive shareholder return.
+ Applies advanced understanding of Microsoft Finance and business (e.g., monetization strategy, market, key drivers, revenue channels, advanced technology, and business partner work context) to multiple situations to evaluate results and analysis. Develops and manages strategies to proactively mitigate, or reactively address, potential adverse effects of macroeconomic and/or geopolitical risks. Maintains working knowledge of Microsoft financial systems, policies, and processes to evaluate potential impacts of changes, and drives improvements in efficiency and accuracy.
+ Contributes to new and unconventional methods and approaches to data collection, analysis, interpretation, and financial models. Provides advice and direction to teammates and peers on data management and operations.
+ Leads efforts to leverage technology to increase productivity (e.g., report optimization) and to ensure accurate conclusions.
+ Integrates varied data sources and assimilates the information into a comprehensive, clear narrative. Communicates results in a compelling and understandable message. Articulates understanding and awareness of business partner situation.
Protection
+ Ensures compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring accuracy of financial documents and business processes. Drives corrective measures. Consults with business partners on sharing financial information, approved instruments and processes, and consistency with corporate policies. Collaborates with Compliance groups to ensure the team is current on company policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
+ Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
+ 2+ year(s) of experience in advanced Excel modeling and data analysis along with demonstrated ability to apply solid analytical and critical thinking skills
Additional or preferred qualifications
+ Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 3+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 5+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
+ 1+ year(s) of experience in strategic analysis and skilled in synthesizing large datasets and complex scenarios to formulate and build business cases that drive insight and enable optimal economic decisions,
+ 1+ year(s) of experience in delivering balanced solutions and proven ability to maintain thoroughness and attention to detail while keeping a strategic, big-picture perspective
+ 1+ year(s) of experience in stakeholder engagement and presentation through clear communication and adapting content for diverse audiences, from director-level to senior leadership teams (SLT)
+ 1+ year(s) experience Demonstrating initiative and adaptability; navigating ambiguity, prioritizing across multiple workstreams and stakeholders, and advocating for appropriate solutions when necessary.
+ 1+ year(s)of experience exploring data-driven insights and understanding underlying drivers that has demonstrated a strong interest in technology and a commitment to continuous learning,
+ 1+ year(s) of professional experience with a proven track record of delivering measurable impact and influencing outcomes in prior roles.
Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,800 - $151,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,800 - $168,000 per year.
