Microsoft is at the forefront of a new era in productivity, and Microsoft 365 Copilot is redefining how we build and deliver AI experiences. The MSAI Office of the CTO is partnering with Copilot Platform and teams across E+D to drive and transform Copilot Agility accelerating how we innovate, build, and scale the M365 Copilot product offerings.

We are looking for a **Senior Technical Program Manager** (TPM) who is passionate about improving the speed, reliability, and agility of Copilot development. In this role, you will lead programs and operations that empower teams across E+D (M365 Core, OPG, GXP, etc) to iterate faster and deliver Copilot capabilities with greater velocity and confidence. You’ll partner closely with engineering, product, research, and infrastructure teams to identify friction points, streamline development workflows, and enable high-impact projects such as the Copilot Data Platform.

This opportunity is ideal for Senior TPM with a solid bias for action, who thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. You’ll drive clarity amid complexity — ensuring alignment, removing blockers, and maintaining smooth execution across multiple teams and workstreams. You’ll combine technical depth with operational excellence to keep programs on track and results visible.

If you're excited about making the Copilot development process more agile, scalable, and impactful — and you thrive at the intersection of AI systems, program leadership, and cross-team collaboration — then this is the right role for you.

As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

    Responsibilities

+ Drive execution of agility initiatives across engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to improve the speed, reliability, and efficiency of Copilot development.

+ Translate insights from developer workflows and system telemetry into concrete process and platform improvements that accelerate Copilot engineering velocity.

+ Define and deliver measurable outcomes for agility-related KPIs (Key Performance Indicator) — such as iteration speed, deployment efficiency, and platform adoption — and be accountable for driving continuous improvement.

+ Establish operational excellence through clear metrics, process governance, and consistent evaluation of development workflows and tooling.

+ Collaborate closely with internal partners across E+D, product engineering, data, and AI teams to align priorities, manage dependencies, and ensure smooth end-to-end execution.

+ Embody our culture and values.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

+ Ablility to drive program execution and operational excellence — from defining goals and aligning stakeholders to tracking progress and delivering measurable results.

    Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

+ **Microsoft Cloud Background Check** : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

    Preferred Qualifications:

+ Deep understanding of software development lifecycles, platform engineering, or AI/ML infrastructure.

+ Experience in agility, developer productivity, or platform enablement programs that accelerate engineering velocity.

+ Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; able to leverage metrics and data to drive clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

+ Experience with process optimization, tooling improvements, or cross-org execution frameworks in large-scale engineering environments.
