    Job Summary

    Shambaugh & Son is looking for an Accountant. In this role you will be responsible for assisting in the completion of accounting duties in a timely and accurately fashion.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    + Manage and complete all requests for certificates of insurance.

    + Complete the daily deposit.

    + Union Reporting

    + Trade License Renewals

    + State and Local Tax Reporting

    + Cost Allocations

    + Supervise various accounting personnel.

    + Back-up field payroll processing.

    + Enter monthly insurance journal entry.

    + Complete employee AR statements monthly.

    + Handle inter-company journal entries received from EMCOR.

    + Send out office overtime report

    + Enter field vehicle reimbursement spreadsheet monthly.

    + Administer COVA.

    + Enter reoccurring journal entries.

    + Complete AP duplicate invoice report.

    + Send our monthly incentive compensation graphs.

    + Other duties as needed.

    Qualifications

    + 5+ years of progressive administrative and accounting experience

    + Bachelors of Science in Business Administration

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + Professional phone etiquette

    + Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    + Ability to multi-task

    + Be a confident self-starter who works well independently and team player as well

    + Proficient in various computer systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes

    + Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
