    Job Summary:

    Panelmatic is seeking a detail-oriented experienced Mechanical Engineer. The Mechanical Engineer will create/review models and BOM’s for power distribution equipment including Metal-Clad Switchgear, Metal-Eclosed Switchgear and Panelboards.

    Job Duties:

    + Review electrical diagrams and requirements from electrical engineering

    + Convert electrical drawings into a mechanical package including elevations, section views and bill of material

    + Provide electrical engineering with mechanical components of drawing package

    + Release bill of material for purchasing and fabrication

    + Receive new product designs, product modifications and implement the new designs/changes into production engineering systems

    + Provide support to manufacturing regarding project questions and issues

    + Interact with electrical engineering, and project management as required

    + Communicate job status, including possible issues, with supervisor

    Requirements

    + 1-3 years' experience in sheet metal design, with a preference for medium voltage switchgear design or UL891 switchboard

    + BS in Mechanical Engineering degree required

    + Knowledge of the typical mechanical design principles

    + Experience in creating 3D renderings and side views based on single line and elevation drawings

    + Familiarity with ANSI, ASME, NEC and UL standards

    + AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience preferred

    + Strong organizational and time management skills required

    + Ability to work in a multi project multitask environment with changing priorities required

    + Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills required

    + Excellent communication skills both written and verbal required

    + US work authorization without sponsorship required

    + Growth mindset with the ability to accept challenges required
