    How Will You Make an Impact?:

     

    The Material Handler I supports operations by unloading, sorting, verifying receipts and storing materials withing the 2-8C cold room or ambient temperature locations. The position is responsible for receiving incoming materials, assisting outbound pick and pack operations, and ensuring accurate inventory across the site.

     

    A Day in the Life:

    + Receiving, Sorting and Stocking picking and overflow locations throughout the warehouse

    + Assisting the outbound team with pick and pack operations

    + Maintain accurate inventory through receipts, adjustments, and cycle counts

    + Uncrating instruments received and preparing for distribution

    Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent required.

    Experience:

    + Preferred: Experience in a FDA regulated distribution/warehouse environment

    + Required: Experience with forklifts, walkie stackers and pallet jacks

    + Required: 1-2 years experience picking, packing, sorting and receiving high volume of materials

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

    + Ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift, and other similar equipment

    + Effective interpersonal and communication skills

    + Able to work independently and set priorities

    Physical Requirements / Work Environment

    + Able to handle chemicals, including hazardous materials

    + Frequently lift 50 lbs and occasionally lift more than 50 lbs with assistance

    + Must be available to work overtime, including weekends to support department as necessary
