    Job Description

    As a Senior Building Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in being responsible for and maintaining the operational efficiency of our facilities.

     

    You will be troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various systems and

     

    equipment, as well as providing mentorship and support to junior technicians.

     

    The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, outstanding problem-solving skills, and be capable of working autonomously and collaboratively.

     

    A Day in the Life:

    •Supervise the upkeep and repair tasks of the facility, such as HVAC, Plumbing,

     

    Electrical, Water for Injection System and other Mechanical Systems.

     

    •Diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues, applying advanced technical knowledge

     

    skills and knowledge.

     

    •Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient functioning and longevity of

     

    machinery and devices.

     

    •Coordinate and assist with major repairs, upgrades, and installations, collaborating with

     

    external contractors and vendors as needed.

     

    •Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including documentation of

     

    completed work orders, inventory of supplies, and equipment maintenance schedules.

     

    •Work together with other departments and collaborators to handle facility-related issues and

     

    implement improvements.

    Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.

    • Trade or Technical school education is preferred.

    Experience:

    • Required: 2+ years proven experience in a facility maintenance with a strong understanding of building systems and equipment.

     

    Strong skills and background in HVAC, plumbing, steam, electrical, and service practices for

     

    mechanical systems.

     

    • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

    •Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve sophisticated issues efficiently.

    •Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects

     

    simultaneously.

     

    •Strong communication and social skills, with the ability to collaborate optimally with team members, contractors,

     

    and vendors.

     

    •Ability to operate and maintain a wide range of hand and power tools.

    Physical Requirements / Work Environment

    •Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects as required.

    • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in facility maintenance, with a focus on promoting a culture of safety.

     

    This position is Sunday - Wednesday First Shift

     

    Compensation and Benefits

     

    The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $21.82–$32.72.
