What You'll do:
You will establish visual and interaction design standards for internal and external company websites, as well as other interactive projects, and participate in user experience and user interface (UX/UI) discussions with teams around the company.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
+ Design web sites and other cross-channel media products, applying understanding of design concepts and principles, as well as knowledge of technical requirements and limitations of the medium involved. Create conceptual, finished, and production-ready designs and have the ability to optimize elements for production.
+ Communicate design concepts to other members of media production teams. Participate in decision-making with responsibility for maintaining design coherency. Work withing our design systems; adapt and apply brand concepts as appropriate.
+ Participate in user experience and user interface discussions with customer service and technology teams; could include heuristic reviews, information architecture and design thinking conversations towards enhancing online and digital experiences.
+ Identify and propose process improvements based on up-to-date understanding of current design trends and UX philosophies.
+ Investigate and assess capabilities of new design tools and software as they become available
What We're Looking For:
Interactive Designer (Grade 5):
Education requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in fine arts OR Associate's Degree with 2 years of professional interactive design or design experience.
Work Experience requirement:
+ Minimum of one year of professional experience in interactive design or design in addition to any experience noted above.
Interactive Designer Sr (Grade 7):
Education requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in design OR Associate's degree in design and three years of professional experience in design or interactive design.
Work Experience Requirement:
+ Minimum of three years of professional experience in design or interactive design, in addition to any experience noted above.
Other Must Haves:
+ Possess portfolio/website that showcases a strong grasp of interactive design standards.
+ Previous expertise in web design and graphic production for electronic media, and proven ability to manage web projects throughout site life cycles.
+ Strong design thinking and persuasive writing skills
+ Understanding of information architecture and human-computer interface usability integration

Compensation Range:
$61,647.00-77,057.50 USD
