    Job Summary

    Join our team as an Automation Engineer in ISG where you will leverage your expertise in DCS, PLC Automation and SCADA systems to enhance our manufacturing and supply chain delivery at client manufacturing sites. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency. Your contributions will play a crucial role in optimizing operations and delivering impactful solutions that align with our company’s goals.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and implement strategies to optimize the performance of DCS PLC and SCADA systems in manufacturing and supply chain environments.

    + Drive integration of shopfloor equipment with central systems / historians / control systems.

    + Undertake troubleshooting activities and support production activities at the manufacturing sites as needed.

    + Manage GxP processes and Documentation related to Change Control associated with Automation system.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

    + Analyze system performance data to identify trends and make recommendations for system enhancements.

    + Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to ensure the smooth operation of automation systems.

    + Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

    + Design and execute test plans to validate system functionality and performance.

    + Document system configurations and changes to maintain accurate records for future reference.

    + Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of system components and services.

    + Train and mentor junior team members to build their technical skills and knowledge.

    + Stay updated with the latest advancements in automation technology to drive continuous improvement.

    + Ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget meeting the companys quality standards.

    + Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns.

    + Support the development of new products by providing technical insights and expertise.

    + Drive installation, troubleshooting, calibrating, and qualifying activities and validation of industrial control systems

    Qualifications

    + Possess a strong understanding of DCS PLC and SCADA systems with hands-on experience in their implementation and maintenance.

    + Experience in Software/Platforms: Allen Bradley - Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, Schneider, Ignition, FactoryTalk, FactoryTalk View SE/ME, Wonderware/Aveva System Platform, Kepware, etc.

    + Demonstrate proficiency in analyzing system performance data and making data-driven recommendations.

    + Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

    + Have a background in manufacturing and supply chain processes which is considered a valuable asset.

    + Show capability in documenting technical processes and maintaining accurate records.

    + Display effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

    • Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently without the support of others

    Working arrangements:

    Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position based out at Lithia Springs, Georgia.
