Job Title- Technical Support Analyst
Job Location- Onsite- Boston, MA, USA
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Technical Support Analyst to join our technical support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for resolving user tickets related to hardware, software, and networking issues, guiding users through installations, and ensuring smooth IT operations across the organization. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
In this role, you will
User Support & Troubleshooting
• Address and resolve user tickets related to hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Conduct remote troubleshooting sessions to diagnose and resolve technical problems.
• Walk customers through installing applications and computer peripherals.
• Provide clear, step-by-step instructions for software installations and configurations.
• Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate next level of support personnel.
Technical Documentation
• Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation and knowledge articles (KA) for known issues and solutions.
Device Deployment & Imaging
• Image and deploy laptops, desktops, and tablets to end users.
• Ensure devices are configured according to company standards and user requirements.
Asset Management
• Track and manage IT assets including stock levels, receiving, and inventory updates.
• Maintain accurate records of hardware and software assets.
Operational Support
• Coordinate and support office moves, including setup and relocation of IT equipment.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless transitions and minimal downtime.
What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)
+ Proven experience in IT Support or helpdesk roles.
+ Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, common software applications, and networking fundamentals.
+ Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
+ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
+ Familiarity with imaging tools and asset management systems is a plus.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $50,000 to $70,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
