About You and This Role
The purpose of the Site Logistics Receiving Clerk job is to accurately process all inbound shipments of packaged products, samples, equipment and miscellaneous items. The Clerk collaborates and communicates with Logistics Personnel, Operations, Customer Service Representative, Service providers and all others involved in the receiving of material. Manages and archives shipment and office files. Responsible to inventory and maintain receiving operational supplies. The clerk will be a positive team player assisting other receiving team members as able to help build positive team chemistry.
The purpose of the Site Logistics Shipping Clerk job is to oversee the shipping of Hazardous, Non-hazardous materials packaged materials via freight carriers as well as articles via FedEx. The majority of daily work is done without supervision, and additional requests may come from Site Logistics functional leaders. The clerk will be a positive team player assisting other shipping team members as able to help build positive team chemistry.
The Receiving Clerk and Shipping Clerk roles involve optimizing plant performance by monitoring process equipment and conditions, conducting field checks, adjusting control systems manually and operated equipment based on process controls in a safe and efficient manner. The Operators will work in various areas of the plant, providing support. Controls the movement, storage, and shipping of raw materials and finished products, and operations of several subsidiary systems.
In this role, you will be using your prior related experience, job-related training, or vocational training to complete routine activities. You will need to have basic technical or administrative skills to follow the established and approved work processes. You will need to understand how these assigned duties relate to other jobs within your workgroup and be able to exchange basic technical information with other team members.
It is your responsibility to use standard operating procedures and/or analytical/scientific methods to address defined and straightforward problems. You must have the ability to select solutions from established options to resolve typical administrative, data organization, and data coordination problems. You will be accountable for managing your own assigned workload. Your performance impacts the quality of your own work as well as your team’s work. You will receive close to moderate level of supervision and guidance in this role.
Responsibilities
Receiving Clerk
+ Follow established operating procedures and safety standards to ensure safe and efficient material handling.
+ Generate Daily and/or weekly Inbound Delivery reports.
+ Retrieve paperwork (BOL or Packing List) and receive goods in SAP.
+ Manage the Tank Return Process.
+ Notify recipients of material arrival and place in designated areas.
+ Ensure weekly Cycle Counts are printed and distributed, and updates are recorded in SAP.
+ Communicate with Supply Chain of any raw materials not delivered.
+ Assist in delivery of parcels to designated areas by 2:00 pm daily.
+ Assist with administrative duties as requested.
+ Participate in root cause investigations if unplanned events or failures occur.
+ Perform daily housekeeping activities as required by Dow policy.
Shipping Clerk
+ Follow established operating procedures and safety standards to ensure safe and efficient material handling.
+ Generate Outbound/ Shuttle Inbound Packaged Good reports.
+ Process outbound shipments: Print Pick tickets, allocated batches using FIFO, and goods issue outbound shipments in SAP.
+ Communicate with RXO and CSR of shipments changes or not picked up.
+ Assist with administrative duties as requested.
+ Prepare hazardous, non-hazardous and miscellaneous articles for shipment using the FedEx program by 3:00 pm. (Must be IATA Certified to prepare hazardous FedEx shipments).
+ Participate in root cause investigations if unplanned events or failures occur.
+ Perform daily housekeeping activities as required by Dow policy.
Required Qualifications
+ A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
+ Must be capable of interfacing with a computer to input data.
+ Attention to detail and data accuracy.
+ Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
+ Work a standard business day shift with occasional overtime as needed.
+ A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Physical Requirements
Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
+ Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as respirators, protective clothing, face masks, goggles, boots, etc. The respirator will require a clean-shaven face.
+ Lift (up to 50lbs), push, and pull.
+ Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
+ Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
+ Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders.
+ Work in tight and enclosed spaces.
+ No known sensitivity to chemicals.
+ This role does involve elevated work greater than or equal to four feet above the ground. Must be able to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE), including harnesses with a total weight capacity of 300lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Demonstrated knowledge and experience using SAP.
+ Previous Logistical Clerk experience in industrial environment.
+ Knowledge of warehouse management operations and systems.

+ Attention to Detail: Accurately processes inbound and outbound shipments, manages documentation, and ensures data integrity in systems like SAP.
+ Team Collaboration: Works closely with Logistics, Operations, Customer Service, and fellow clerks to maintain smooth workflows and build positive team chemistry.
+ Process & Equipment Monitoring: Supports plant operations by conducting field checks, adjusting control systems, and ensuring safe and efficient handling of materials.
+ Administrative Competence: Handles inventory, archives shipment records, prepares reports, and performs routine administrative tasks with minimal supervision.
+ Physical & Safety Readiness: Meets physical demands such as lifting, climbing, and working at heights while adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
