Description
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Athletic Coordinator to lead and support a variety of athletic tournaments and special events throughout the year. In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between event organizers and facility staff, ensuring all events are professionally managed and deliver a high-quality experience for athletes, coaches, fans, and partners.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Plan, coordinate, and oversee athletic tournaments and recreational events hosted at city facilities.
+ Serve as the main point of contact for event organizers, providing guidance and support throughout the planning and execution stages.
+ Collaborate closely with facility and event staff to ensure logistics, safety, and event standards are met.
+ Assist in event setup, supervision, and breakdown as needed.
+ Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and promote a welcoming environment for participants and spectators.
+ Maintain positive relationships with community members, partners, and staff.
+ Attend and support events during evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays, as required.
Education, Experience, Licensing
+ A combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Parks and Recreation, or a closely related field.
+ One (1) year of experience in tourism, event planning, marketing, parks and recreation, or a related area.
+ Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
+ Current First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
Supplemental Information
+ This position requires flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
+ Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
+ Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
