Resource Specialist – Burlingame, CA - $65/Hour

We are currently seeking a dedicated Resource Specialist to join our team in Burlingame, California. This role is ideal for educators who are committed to supporting students with special needs through personalized instruction and collaborative engagement with school staff and families.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide individualized and group instruction to students in the Resource Specialist Program based on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
+ Evaluate student progress regularly and maintain accurate documentation
+ Collaborate with administrators, teachers, parents, psychologists, and other professionals to support student success
+ Conduct assessments and evaluate referrals for special education services
+ Participate in meetings and professional development activities on and off campus
+ Write IEPs including transitional goals and adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
+ Coordinate with general education teachers to track the effectiveness of instructional modifications
+ Research and procure appropriate instructional materials
Requirements:
+ Valid California Teaching Credential (CTC)
+ Special Education Certification
+ Mild/Moderate Credential or Mod/Severe

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of theSpecial Education Program Administrator provides quality services to specialeducation students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has acommitment to team participation in planning and implementation of studentprograms including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultationwith general education staff.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited universitypreferred
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state,contract/district regulations
+ Minimum of one year experience in teaching environmentpreferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard ElementaryTeaching preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard SecondaryTeaching preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teachingpreferred
+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
+ Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
