Special Education Teacher | $55/hr + $1,000 Sign-On Bonus | Full-Time | Lombard, Carol Stream, Addison, IL | ASAP–EOY

Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring full-time Special Education Teachers (LBS1) for immediate openings across multiple school sites in Lombard, Carol Stream, and Addison, IL. These in-person roles run through the end of the school year and offer a $1,000 sign-on bonus, paid breaks, and flexible interview options (virtual or in-person).

Position Overview:

+ Locations: Lombard, Carol Stream, Addison, IL

+ Start Date: ASAP

+ End Date: End of school year

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 32.5–37 hrs/week

+ Pay Rate: $55/hr

+ Modality: LBS1

+ Interview: Virtual or in-person

+ Bonus: $1,000 sign-on

Caseload Options:

+ Early Intervention (1 opening):

+ 14 non-verbal students

+ Preparing for transition to elementary

+ 36–37 hrs/week

+ K–8 (2 openings):

+ 10 students with moderate autism and severe social/emotional behaviors

+ 32.5 hrs/week (5.5 hrs direct instruction, 30 min planning, 30 min lunch)

+ High School (1 opening):

+ 10 students with similar profile to K–8

+ 32.5 hrs/week

Requirements:

+ Valid IL teaching certificate (LBS1 preferred)

+ Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

+ Minimum 1 year of teaching experience

+ Comfortable working with aggressive/intense behaviors

+ CPR, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
