Salary: $3003 / Week
The Marriage and Family Counselor provides professional counseling services designed in assisting participants in behavior change to maintain a healthy lifestyle and quality of life through individual and group therapy.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field preferred
+ Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work, Family Therapy preferred
+ Licensed as a Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) as required by state regulations and/or contract specifications
+ One (1) year of experience in counseling preferred
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age

Schedule: Full-Time | 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Pay Options:
+ Local Pay: $65/hr
+ Travel Weekly Pay: $3,003
+ $924 taxable income
+ $2,079 in stipends

A compassionate, mission-driven non-profit organization dedicated to supporting young survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and sexual abuse trauma. Our residential facility provides a safe, therapeutic, and trauma-informed environment where youth receive individualized mental health services, mentorship, and life skills development.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Residential Therapist (LMFT or LCSW) to join our team. This role is ideal for clinicians who are committed to trauma-informed care and want to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable youth.
You will provide individual, group, and family therapy, participate in treatment planning, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Facilitate therapy sessions focused on topics such as Seeking Safety, Healthy Relationships, Coping Skills, and Mindfulness
+ Complete timely documentation in SBWell EHR for Medi-Cal billing
+ Collaborate in treatment team meetings to ensure individualized care
+ Support direct care staff with skills-based rehabilitation services
+ Provide crisis intervention and safety planning
+ Participate in client intakes, assessments, and discharge planning
+ File mandated reports when necessary
+ Engage in ongoing training on trauma-informed care, cultural competency, and clinical best practices
Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
+ Active registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
+ LMFT, LCSW, or AMFT working toward licensure
+ Clear Live Scan background check or current Criminal Exemption
+ Current CPR/First Aid Certification
+ Experience with crisis intervention and trauma-informed care preferred
COVID-19 Considerations:
This is primarily an in-person role. We follow strict health protocols including regular screening and disinfecting. All interviews will be conducted via Zoom.
