    Job Title: Special Education (SPED) Teacher – MiddleSchool

     

    Location : South St. Paul, MN

     

    Contract Duration : Immediate start through end of the 2025–2026 schoolyear

     

    Pay Rate: $50/hour

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SpecialEducation Teacher to join a Middle School team in South St. Paul, MN. This is acontract position through the end of the school year, offering a competitivehourly rate and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students’ lives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Provide specialized instruction to middle school students with diverse learning needs.

    + Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families.

    + Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.

    + Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administration.

    + Maintain accurate records and comply with all federal, state, and district regulations.

    + Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred).

    + Valid Minnesota teaching license with appropriate endorsements:

    + Standard Elementary Teaching (preferred)

    + Standard Secondary Teaching (preferred)

    + Standard Special Teaching (preferred)

    + Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement (preferred)

    + Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred).

    + Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.

    + Current CPR certification (if applicable).

    + TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable).

    + Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

    + Must be at least 18 years of age.

    + Previous experience in school or pediatric settings (preferred).
