Senior Designer
Guardian’s Enterprise Creative team is seeking a brand-focused, systems-oriented **Senior Graphic Designer** to join our growing internal agency. This role will be key in upholding and advancing our visual identity across all touchpoints. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a meticulous eye for detail, capable of translating complex topics and data into compelling visual narratives and supporting brand governance efforts across the organization.
Key** **r** **esponsibilities
Brand stewardship
+ Serve as an expert in our visual identity, ensuring consistency and excellence across all brand expressions.
+ Partner with the Brand Design Lead to develop, refine, and enforce brand guidelines.
+ Create and maintain brand templates for internal and external use across all forms of media.
+ Support brand training initiatives for internal and external partners.
+ Provide constructive feedback to both creatives and non-creatives who execute on our brand.
+ Contribute to the evolution and documentation of our brand identity and design standards.
+ Help maintain our Brand Center website to ensure a smooth user experience with up-to-date information and resources.
Creative development
+ Design high-impact visual assets across a variety of print and digital media including brochures, flyers, banner ads, paid and organic social posts, email, thought leadership reports, web assets, PowerPoint, event and environmental materials, motion graphics storyboards, infographics, branded merchandise, and more.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret strategic goals into visual solutions that are brand-aligned and audience-focused.
+ Translate data-based information into digestible, compelling designsthat tell a clear story; visual treatments are selected carefully with purpose and logic behind them.
Communication and collaboration
+ Consult with internal “clients”and creative leads to determinethe optimal creative approach for a given assignment.
+ Collaborate with writers to deliver strategic, thoughtful creative solutions.
+ Proactively alert project managers when workload support is needed.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree, preferably in graphic design or related field.
+ Portfoliothat demonstratesa strong breadth of work.
+ 6+ years of professional design experience, preferably with some prior employment in an agency setting.
+ Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
+ Proficiency in PowerPoint and Figma.
+ Familiarity with web accessibility.
+ Strong understanding of typography, color, layout, and brand systems.
+ Demonstrated ability to work within an established brand system while also finding new ways to express it.
+ Strong math, logic, and language skills.
+ Experience with data visualization and interpreting quantitative information.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Experiencepresenting to clients, business partners, and executive-level stakeholders.
+ Highly organized, proactive, and detail oriented; you have an “eagle eye” for catching mistakes others don’t.
+ Ability to execute on all steps of the creative process, from concepting to file prep and delivery.
+ Experience developing brand guidelines.
+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, often with competing priorities and shifting deadlines.
+ Up to date on design trends and interested inemerging technologies.
+ Strong relationship management skills; ability to foster collaboration and value other perspectives.
Salary Range:
$80,940.00 - $132,975.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
