As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern with Larson Davis, you will gain real workplace experience in your field of study.
This is an in-person internship at our facility in Provo, UT. The intern will start in January 2026 and will work a flexible, part-time schedule of around 20 hours per week during the school semester. During the summer the intern will work up to 40 hours per week. Relocation assistance is not offered, and preference will be given to applicants residing in Utah.
Additional Duties:
+ Collect production and quality data
+ Support process documentation (work instructions, Engineering change orders, document updates)
+ Assist with FMEAs under guidance
+ Assist engineers with CAD changes and QC concerns
+ Sustain hardware products, working with team to solve issues
+ Create required fixturing for assembly improvements
+ Operate and service in house prototyping tools (Laser cutter, 3D printers)
+ Participate in continuous‑improvement events, root‑cause investigations, and small pilot builds/experiments
+ Run Kaizen events to improve process
+ Provide support to the engineering team as required for the efficient completion of assigned project(s)
+ Gain practical experience in the workplace related to manufacturing engineering
+ Follow the OZ principles: See It, Own It, Solve It, Do It
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelors Manufacturing Engineering program or related program
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Prior internship experience is preferred.
