    **GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:** Repair and maintain vehicle fleet including lift trucks and tuggers, including preventative maintenance. Diesel Mechanic experience a PLUS

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Repair and maintain vehicle fleet including lift trucks (propane and electric) and tuggers.

    + Perform all preventative maintenance as well as breakdown services.

    + Maintain all preventative maintenance and repair records, documents, and warranties.

    + Wash vehicles as a normal portion of preventative maintenance.

    + Keep work area clean, neat, and orderly.

    + Notify Supervision of vehicle abuse.

    + Assist facility maintenance whenever time permits.

    + Respond quickly to handling minor repairs (lights, horns, etc.) so that unsafe vehicles are not in operation or down for an extended period.

    + Other duties at the direction of supervisor.

    JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    + Must be able to effectively communicate with others both verbally and in writing.

    + Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    + Attention to detail and organization is critical.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Lift Truck Certified (preferred but not necessary.) If not certified in Lift Truck, must become certified in reasonable amount of time.

    + Diesel Mechanic experience a PLUS

    + Must be self-motivated and be able to work unsupervised.

    + Ability to work well with others.

    + Physically able to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach and lift up to 50 pounds.

    + Must be willing to work overtime as needed to ensure vehicles are operable for peak periods.

    + Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

    + Must be able to manage time, parts inventories, and budgetary expectations cost savings/avoidance’s

    + Must follow all safety procedures.

    + Must wear/use all required PPE, to include but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, mechanics gloves (when required), steel toe boots, etc.
