Job Description Summary
We are seeking a technically strong and strategically minded Engineering Manager to lead a subsystem team focused on the X-Ray image chain including image processing algorithms, both traditional and AI based, and hardware components for X-Ray imaging systems. This role serves as both Functional Manager and Technical Director, guiding a global team through the integration, design, development, and productization of dose control and image quality related features.
You will play a critical role in aligning technical execution with cross-functional priorities, balancing inputs from diverse stakeholders across Product, Systems, Service, and Software teams, while maintaining a clear focus on delivering robust, scalable solutions.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
+ Team Leadership & Technical Direction
+ Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.
+ Provide strategic and hands-on technical guidance in the development of dose and image quality related features for X-Ray systems, including the development of AI algorithms were appropriate.
+ Work with the team to define the roadmap for features and their implementation for various product lines.
+ Stakeholder Alignment & Collaboration
+ Balance competing priorities and feedback from stakeholders to drive consensus and maintain project momentum.
+ Facilitate clear communication and decision-making across functional boundaries.
+ System-Level Understanding
+ Maintain a deep understanding of the full X-Ray imaging system—including tube, generator, collimator, grids, and detector—and how image quality is impacted.
+ Drive system-level thinking to ensure that image quality features are robust, scalable, and aligned with product goals.
+ Project Execution & Delivery
+ Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
+ Champion engineering best practices, continuous improvement, and innovation.
+ Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
+ Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
+ Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
+ 5+ years of experience in engineering roles, with 2+ years in a leadership capacity.
+ Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
+ Proven experience in algorithm development, preferably in medical imaging or similar domains.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Desired Characteristics

+ Experience leading global teams
+ Experience in development of AI models.
+ Strong understanding of X-Ray imaging systems and hardware components.
+ Experience with image quality metrics and system integration.
+ Familiarity with medical device development and regulatory considerations.
