If you're looking to start your human resources career, look no further! We're hiring a Human Resources Generalist to join our UPMC Hamot Human Resources team. This is a regular, full-time position that works daylight hours, Monday through Friday.
In this role, the Human Resources Generalist functions as a strategic business partner providing day-to-day support to the HR team and hospital leaders regarding the implementation of human resources initiatives and strategies. Daily job responsibilities may include responding to employee inquiries, assisting with new hire orientation, leading retention and engagement initiatives, HR reporting, and so much more!

Responsibilities:
+ Participate on local and/or organization wide committees that focus on projects that move the organization forward and towards meeting its strategic goals.
+ Effectively communicate expectations with business, operational, and HR partners while promoting a One Team collaborative atmosphere in which all functions of HR work together as one team.
+ Provide HR consulting services by partnering with business, operational, and HR leaders of the organization to recommend solutions on employee relations, policy and procedures, engagement and retention, employee safety, and cultural improvements.
+ Utilize HR metrics to develop and implement initiatives that positively impact the organization and the employee experience.
+ Drive and champion inclusion efforts and cultural improvement initiatives within the customer base.
+ High School Diploma/GED and two years of experience in human resources operations actively handling employee relations.
+ OR Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required with a preference of one year of human resources operations actively handling employee relations
+ OR Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
+ OR successful completion of the UPMC Summer Associates Program/Pittsburgh Fellows Program required.
+ Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products required.
+ Prior HR work experience, club involvement and/or education is preferred.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
