• Equipment Reprocessor, GI Lab - UPMC Presbyterian

    UPMC Presbyterian is looking to hire a Full-Time Equipment Reprocessor to support the Gastrointestinal Lab.

    Schedule:

    + (4) 10-hour shifts

    + 7 am to 5:30 pm

    + 1-2 late days per week

    + Call requirement once a month

    Purpose:

    Cares for, handles and reprocesses all fiber optic endoscopy equipment and accessories used in the GI Laboratory.

    Responsibilities:

    + Demonstrate accurate cleaning and disinfection procedures for all endoscopes and accessories.

    + Adhere to universal infection control guidelines when cleaning and disinfecting scopes and accessories.

    + Contribute to an efficient work and team environment.

    + Assume responsibility for own development.

    + Maintain unit standards of quality control and safety.

    + Demonstrate proper handling techniques for scopes and accessories.

    + Contribute to maintaining a neat, clean and safe environment.

    + High school diploma or equivalent required.

    + Previous employment or training as an Endoscopy Technician or other medical specialty such as Central Service Technician preferred.
