    Come join the CG-PD Tax Content team as a Senior Manager, Tax Technology. CG-PD Tax Content delivers world class tax compliance and experiences to consumers and tax pros in the US and Canada to enable our users to file accurate and complete income tax returns.

     

    Intuit has embraced a hybrid work model, requiring in office attendance of three days per week. This role can be based out of our Toronto, Canada office, Plano Texas or San Diego California office.

    Responsibilities

    People Leadership:

    + Leads a team of managers and/or individual contributors, setting the team's strategic direction and ensuring timely delivery of complex projects.

    + Drives the performance and development of the entire team, cultivating a culture of high performance and continuous learning.

    + Mentors and develops senior talent, building a robust leadership pipeline and influencing talent management across the broader organization.

    Technical Craft & Tax Expertise:

    + Directs the team in analyzing and interpreting the most complex and ambiguous areas of tax law, serving as a key advisor on tax strategy.

    + Guides the architectural design of tax systems, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, and align with long-term business goals.

    + Drives the adoption of advanced software engineering practices and operational excellence, setting the technical standards for the group.

    Execution Excellence:

    + Champions cross-functional collaboration to solve systemic problems and deliver on large-scale, multi-year initiatives.

    + Leverages data and insights to shape the strategic priorities of the organization and remove critical roadblocks.

    + Oversees the execution of a portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and delivering end-to-end, customer-backed solutions.

    Customer-Centric Outcomes & Team Acceleration:

    + Uses deep customer understanding and data to influence the product and technology roadmap for the entire business unit.

    + Fosters a strong culture of innovation and experimentation, empowering the team to take calculated risks and pioneer new solutions.

    + Scales team knowledge and impact by championing best practices, driving technical sessions, and mentoring across the organization.

    Qualifications

    + 10+ years of experience in tax, accounting, or software development, with a deep understanding of the tax compliance lifecycle.

    + Proven experience in people leadership, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams, including experience managing other managers.

    + Expert-level knowledge of US and/or Canadian tax law and compliance, with the ability to interpret and apply complex and ambiguous regulations.

    + Strong technical acumen with experience in software development processes, agile methodologies, and architectural design of complex systems.

    + Demonstrated ability to think strategically, with experience in shaping organizational priorities, driving large-scale initiatives, and influencing product and technology roadmaps.

    + Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

    + A passion for innovation and customer-centricity, with a history of fostering a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.

    + Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Computer Science) is required; a Master's degree or CPA is a plus.

     

    Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is:

     

    Toronto: $147,500-199,500
