    The Position

    The Digital Solution Architect role is responsible for providing expert technical consulting during the concluding phases of the sales process and implementation phases of all digital solutions at Roche Diagnostics, customer sites, including hospitals, laboratories, and pathology labs, throughout the nation. This position functions as a technical consultant, collaborating with IT organizations to meet the necessary requirements for ensuring the successful sale and implementation of digital products. Responsibilities encompass preparation for implementation on infrastructure, networking, and software including installation and upgrades, as well as the development of standardized server builds.

    The Opportunity:

    This role involves frequent travel (25% or more) to support customer installations, technical escalations, and internal collaboration.

    KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Provides technical advice to validate customer solutions during late-stage sales activities

    + Reviews customer site readiness plans and project scope, ensuring all activities IT related are mapped and with the specific deliverables.

    + Design, gains agreement, and communicates project IT requirements for customer implementations which align with Roche policies and procedures; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    + Ensures resources are aligned and available to complete the required activities within the prescribed time frames; coordinates activities to ensure each project progresses on schedule while meeting all other specified project performance parameters

    + Manages customer installation expectations, identifies project risks, and formulates plans to minimize impacts to projects; escalates implementation issues as needed and manages critical customer situations

    + Works closely with and influences customer IT groups to support implementation and manage initial security alignment, manage IT security requirements, objections, and provide the needed documentation and IT support to ensure the successful implementation of all digital products.

    + Partners with colleagues to create standard build of servers while complying with internal requirements; transitions work to Digital Solution Engineers focused on the configuration stage of implementation

    + Remote and/or on-site troubleshooting of Digital solutions, as needed

    + Actively participates in and conducts pre-implementation, implementation, and post-project review meetings for RDC customers and internal stakeholders

    + Serves as a technical resource for internal stakeholders on complex IT, Network, Infrastructure and cybersecurity challenges.

    + Participates in onboarding training and mentoring activities based on area of expertise.

    + Provides feedback based on customer experiences to product and professional services teams for product and process improvements.

    + Be able to support the successful launch and implementation of different digital products ensuring the smooth adoption

    + Serve as subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders on IT related requirements/questions

    + Networks with senior internal and external personnel in area of expertise as well as some key contacts outside area of expertise

    + Able to comprehend and explain cloud solution designs and terminology

    WHO YOU ARE

    You are a mid-career professional that has deep knowledge and experience with networking, infrastructure and security in a healthcare setting. You are approachable, skilled in communicating with sales, influencing customers, and translating technical language. You are comfortable engaging in difficult conversations and are successful in finding resolutions. You seek and are comfortable with autonomy and have a continuous improvement mindset.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    + You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field or equivalent work experience.

    + You have 5+ years related experience, technical or equivalent experience (i.e,. enterprise software consulting, cyber security, network administration, lab information systems

    + Strong problem-solving skills

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    + 7 or more years of related experience in a healthcare setting

    + Technical skills within product groups, including Microsoft Windows, IT Security, Networking, Intersystems Caché, or IRIS

    + Technical skills within product groups: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, DevOps

    + Familiar with healthcare domain integration standards (ASTM, HL7, EMR, ADT, etc.)

    + Knowledge of the clinical customer base and critical components of an LIS and laboratory IT processes

    + Knowledge of any of the digital products for lab insights, patient insights or digital infrastructure

    + Ability to troubleshoot complex problems, consult, and drive resolution

    + Highly effective communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with and translate requirements for both technical and non-technical groups

    + Analytical, logical problem resolution skills

    + Basic Project Management skills

     

    Relocation benefits are not available for this position.

     

    The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Indianapolis, IN, is between $105,700 and $196,300. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
