Job Summary

The Site Manager oversees all aspects of high voltage substation construction projects, ensuring safe, timely, and compliant execution. This includes managing contractors, enforcing safety and environmental standards, coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining daily reporting. The role is site-based for the duration of the project (typically 6–8 months) and is critical to delivering high-quality infrastructure aligned with regulatory and design requirements.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and environmental compliance.

• Coordinate contractors and crews to meet project timelines and budgets.

• Conduct safety and environmental inspections, including spill reporting and SWPPP compliance.

• Deliver daily progress reports, incident logs, and updates to clients and internal teams.

• Lead safety training and enforce OSHA and Zero Harm protocols.

• Resolve site issues with engineers, inspectors, and stakeholders to maintain design/spec adherence.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of site management experience, specifically in high voltage substation construction.

• 10+ years total experience within high voltage substations

• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental permitting, and safety programs.

• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and manage QA/QC processes.

• Very strong communication skills - will be interfacing with clients

• OSHA 30 certification

• Willingness to be on-site full-time during project execution (6–8 months)

o Will have breaks to travel home. • Experience with BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) and substation control systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Familiarity with grid operations and high voltage construction standards.

• Strong communication and multitasking skills under pressure.

• Proficiency in internal reporting systems and incident tracking tools.
