             Location: Toledo Hospital Department: Neurophysiology Weekly Hours: 40 Status: Full time Shift: Days (United States of America) Job Summary: ACCOUNTABILITIES *All duties listed below are essential unless noted otherwise* + Supervises, trains, and evaluates neurophysiology and support staff to ensure clinical and operational proficiency. + Partners with neurologists and department leadership on policy, procedural, and quality initiatives; communicates updates effectively to staff. + Manages scheduling, payroll, staffing assignments, and day-to-day workflow to ensure departmental efficiency and service excellence. + Performs equipment checks, coordinates maintenance, and ensures high diagnostic quality of all neurophysiology procedures. + Leads orientation, in-service programs, and staff development; evaluates new equipment, products, and technologies for departmental use. + Ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements, hospital policies, and patient safety standards, including daily safety initiatives. + Promotes patient and family-centered care by providing education, ensuring comfort, and maintaining confidentiality and dignity. + Assists staff in the performance of neurophysiology tests as needed to support patient care and workflow. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS **Education** : Associate’s Degree in a health care field and/or Registered EEG Technician. **Skills** : The Outpatient Supervisor of Neurophysiology must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to supervise, train, and support a diverse clinical and administrative team. Knowledge of neurophysiology services, regulatory standards, and quality assurance processes is essential, along with the ability to manage workflow, scheduling, and patient experience initiatives. While this role does not perform diagnostic tests, the supervisor should be willing to learn the procedures to effectively guide and support staff. **Years of Experience** : Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience **License** : N/A **Certification** : CPR certified PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS **Education** : Four-year degree in nursing or healthcare administration from an accredited institution **Skills** : N/A **Years of Experience** : Prior supervisory experience. **License** : N/A **Certification** : N/A WORKING CONDITIONS **Personal Protective Equipment:** Must be able to wear PPE. **Physical Demands:** The position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods in an outpatient clinical environment. Occasional lifting, positioning, or movement of patients and equipment up to 25 pounds may be required. The role involves frequent use of computers and office equipment, as well as the ability to assist staff with clinical procedures as needed. Visual and auditory acuity are necessary for monitoring equipment, reviewing documentation, and effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
