Job Responsibilities/Duties
Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) seeks a Senior-level Training Specialist with a special focus on development of Computer Based Training (CBT) approaches to support the Operations, Maintenance and Technical Staff training groups. This position will require significant experience with the ADDIE model of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) and considerable instructional analyst experience ensuring correct and accurate knowledge and skills can be utilized in classroom, computer based and blended learning modalities including micro learning. Modalities focused on digital documents, recorded audio or video, recorded slides with narration, and self-paced courses. This position will also provide support for training content development tools, and web pages.
The position must be proficient in tools like Articulate Storyline 360 and Articulate Rise to develop training materials based on analyzed needs.
* Produce multi-media training from provided content or from job task analysis. Content may include classroom training lesson plans, CBT storyboards, microlearning content, trainee learning guides, tests/exams, and other applicable mechanisms of knowledge evaluation.
* Analyze test/exam results to determine question effectiveness on establishing learner comprehension of training content.
* Utilize test/exam analysis results to determine potential training product deficiencies and apply subsequent corrective action.
* Assess and revise training materials as changes in policy, procedures, regulations, and requirements occur.
* Functions as a lead, providing coaching, mentoring and assignment competence development support.
* Research and/or benchmarks new ideas/concepts for the advancement of the training organization.
* Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Grade 19: Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration or related discipline and 9 years of Training/Education/Business experience or other related field, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
Grade 20: Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration or related discipline and 10 years of Training/Education/Business experience or other related field, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
Desired Qualifications
* Previous DOE, military, commercial or similar hazardous facility experience strongly desired.
* Experience with Articulate Storyline 360 and Articulate Rise.
* Experience using VISION Developer.
* Knowledge of instructional system design models including but not limited to ADDIE and the Successive Approximation Model (SAM).
* Experience editing and developing reports and documents using Vision scripting language.
* In-depth knowledge of technical training techniques and concepts in an industrial environment.
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
Hiring Range Minimum: $117,225
Hiring Range Maximum: $162,688
