    Summary About the Position: This position is located with the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), DOD Education Activity HQ, Office of the Director Strategic & Organizational Excellence Research, Planning & Monitoring Branch, in Alexandria, VA. This position may be eligible for situational telework as determined by the agency policy. This position is not covered by a bargaining unit. Responsibilities Develop and monitor implementation of plans, procedures, and guidance to assist with organization Strategic Planning improvements. Develop a strategic plan and build allocation/execution plans for improvements. Develop procedures, processes, methods, or approaches of substantial scope, difficulty, and complexity in strategic development, continuous improvement, or program integration. Develop programs in support of organization strategic and operational objectives. Advise leadership and staff on continuous process improvement, and organizational performance. Provide recommendations on policies, programs, and studies to resolve problems and improvements to operations processes. Assist in the conception and development of definitive plans and strategies that will enhance the quality and effectiveness of strategic conceptual products of organizational structures and processes. Provides advice to leadership on agency performance architecture. Provide coordination of key plans and events involving strategic plans development with all the key staff elements. Develop Structure to measure process improvements in the organization to achieve efficiency and effectiveness. Manage the development and maintenance of the organization’s synchronization matrix and strategic plan. Manage research and organizational monitoring plans. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes advising on policies and programs to resolve problems and improvements on the operations for systems management and strategic planning improvement; developing processes and procedures in areas of short/long-range strategic planning in continuous improvement studies; assisting with the organization process improvements to ensure data elements are integrated in the operation process; Analyzing new or revised policies and regulations to determine and advise on impact. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Education Additional Information Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement.
