Description

Do you want to get paid to have fun? If so, Child Serve Respite has a job for you! As a Weekend Group Respite Assistant, you will provide personal care and supervision for children with special health care needs in a group setting. Services are provided at our Johnston Respite Center.

Schedule

Flexible hours! Weekend shifts are available Friday through Sunday with 5 to 19 hours a weekend possible.

How You’ll Make an Impact

+ Have fun with kids while their regular caregivers get a break

+ Be creative while engaging children in activities

+ Provide group services at the Johnston Respite Center

+ Receive ongoing training and supervision

+ Great resume builder for those interested in social work, education, therapy, psychology, and nursing

What You’ll Need :

+ Must be at least 16 years old to apply

+ Those 18 and over must be willing to provide transportation as a ChildServe authorized driver, if required. This includes passing a motor vehicle record check and car safety check and able to provide a valid driver’s license and insurance

+ Ability to lift up - to 35 lbs . be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand

+ Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
