The role you will contribute:

The **Director of IT Distribution and Logistics** provides strategic and operational leadership for the organizations technology distribution, fulfillment, and logistics operations. This leader ensures that IT assets, infrastructure components, and related technologies are efficiently sourced, stored, configured, and deployed to support hospital operations, new construction projects, and enterprise-wide technology refresh initiatives.

The Director will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of IT inventoryfrom procurement through deployment and retirementensuring alignment with corporate strategy, fiscal stewardship, and operational excellence. This role partners closely with IT, Supply Chain, Facilities, and vendor partners to enable scalable, secure, and efficient technology delivery across the health system.

+ Manages the day-to-day operations, project delivery, and procurement of IT services across multiple facilities.

+ Leads IT procurement functions and project delivery for various locations.

+ Acts as a liaison between the IT department and regional business units to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

+ Develops and maintains relationships to understand and meet the IT needs of all customers.

+ Provides direction and management to IT personnel, ensuring effective utilization of resources.

+ Mentors and develops IT management teams to achieve strategic and operational goals.

+ Identifies and implements changes to improve customer service and operational efficiency.

+ Manages IT service management thresholds and addresses compliance issues.

+ Communicates and collaborates with clinical and business units to align IT services with business strategies.

+ Develops and monitors annual IT operating and capital budgets to ensure adequate funding.

+ Establishes and monitors project work plans, workflows, and procedures.

+ Assists in evaluating applications and equipment, and implements and tests pilot projects.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Strategic Leadership

+ Develop and execute a **strategic roadmap** for IT distribution and logistics that aligns with the organizations digital transformation and capital project strategies.

+ Drive **process standardization and automation** across logistics and technology fulfillment operations.

+ Lead initiatives to optimize **cost, speed, and reliability** in IT asset delivery to hospitals and facilities.

+ Champion sustainability and technology lifecycle management, including responsible recycling and e-waste reduction.

Operational Management

+ Direct daily operations of the IT distribution center, including receiving, inventory management, configuration, and outbound logistics.

+ Oversee **technology configuration and staging operations** , ensuring systems are prepped and validated for deployment.

+ Partner with IT procurement and supply chain teams to forecast technology needs and manage vendor relationships.

+ Implement **KPIs and analytics dashboards** to monitor service performance, logistics efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Technology & Systems Integration

+ Oversee deployment and optimization of **Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)** , **IT Asset Management (ITAM)** , and **ERP integrations** .

+ Ensure all logistics operations maintain **data integrity, cybersecurity compliance, and system interoperability** .

+ Explore emerging technologies such as **robotics, IoT sensors, and predictive analytics** to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Team Development & Leadership

+ Build and mentor a **multidisciplinary team** encompassing logistics operations, IT technicians, and systems analysts.

+ Foster a culture of **collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement** .

+ Develop workforce capability through training, certifications, and succession planning.

Partnerships & Collaboration

+ Collaborate closely with Facilities, Clinical Engineering, and IT Infrastructure teams on new hospital builds and renovation projects.

+ Act as the liaison to external logistics, integration, and vendor partners ensuring service level compliance.

Engage with executive leadership to report performance metrics and strategic progress.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

+ Bachelor's degree Required

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Master's degree

+ 10 years of progressive experience in **IT operations, logistics, or supply chain management** , including 5 years in a **senior leadership** role.

+ Proven success managing **large-scale technology distribution** or **IT fulfillment centers** (preferably within healthcare, manufacturing, or logistics industries).

+ Experience with **ERP, WMS, and ITAM systems** , as well as data analytics platforms.

+ Demonstrated history of leading **automation and digital transformation initiatives** .

Certifications (Preferred)

+ Project Management Professional ( **PMP** )

+ Certified Supply Chain Professional ( **CSCP** ) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution ( **CLTD** )

+ ITIL Foundation Certification

+ Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
