    About the Role

     

    United Protective Services is seeking a dependable and adaptable Flex Security Officer , also known as a Floater , to support our branch operations across multiple client locations. This role is essential in maintaining consistent coverage, service excellence, and safety standards across diverse environments.

     

    A Floater thrives in dynamic situations—ready to respond, fill gaps, and uphold our reputation for reliability and professionalism. This position requires accountability, flexibility, and a strong sense of purpose in service.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Provide a professional, courteous, and safety-focused presence at assigned client sites.

    + Respond promptly to scheduling calls and fill open shifts as directed by management.

    + Patrol premises, monitor access, and report safety or security concerns.

    + Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including activity and incident reports.

    + Enforce company and client policies to ensure safe, secure environments.

    + Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and team members.

    + Demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and initiative across varying site conditions.

     

    Schedule & Requirements

     

    + Must be available 24/7, six (6) days per week , including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (mandatory workdays).

    + Required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week .

    + Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation .

    + Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Non-Commissioned (Level II) Security License issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

    + Excellent communication and observation skills.

    + Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods .

    + Must demonstrate strong dependability, responsiveness, and professionalism.

    + Previous security experience preferred, but not required.

    Education Requirements (All)

     

    High School Diploma or GED

     

    Certification Requirements (All)

     

    Drivers License Over the age of 25 ( Insurance Requirement)
