    Summary

    EMI is seeking a highly capable and experienced Project Manager to lead a large-scale infrastructure modernization effort at a remote military installation in Alaska. This project encompasses upgrades to civil infrastructure, telecommunications and fiber networks, and fire alarm systems. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all phases of project execution, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements. This role requires strong leadership, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to manage complex logistics in a remote and challenging environment.

     

    _**This position is contingent upon contract award, and work location would be Shemya Islank, AK**_

    Responsibilities

    + Plan and manage project scope, schedules, and budget

    + Manage all project resources

    + Procure and track project materials

    + Identify and manage project risks

    + Attend and facilitate required meetings, conferences, and working groups

    + Provide effective mentoring, counseling, and discipline for all Team Members

    + Communicate effectively with all project stake holders

    + Demonstrate effective oral and written communication

    + Maintain a complete and thorough knowledge of the task order, the contract and all contract modifications affecting the task order.

    + Maintain a complete and thorough knowledge of contract requirements regarding project management.

    + Develop and provide inputs to an integrated master schedule to ensure all project personnel, activities and resources are efficiently aligned to meet task order objectives.

    + Participate in management and technical reviews of services/products and identify risks to quality, schedule, and cost.

    + Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    + Minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing construction projects.

    + Minimum three (3) years of experience in fire protection.

    + Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA safety standards

    + Knowledge of EM 385 1-1 safety standards desired.

    + Have the Contractors course certification entitled "Construction Quality Management Training" or the ability to complete the training within 60 days after date of hire.

    _Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_

    + Knowledge of AutoCAD, no direct experience is required.

    + Experience with projects on military or government installations is preferred.

    + Ability to read drawings and blueprints

    + Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.

    + Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.

    + Must write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar; vary writing style to meet needs; present numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.

    + The employee will be required to work in a remote location in Alaska under extreme weather conditions.
