An **Atlassian Developer** helps teams get the most out of tools like Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket by customizing and optimizing them to fit business needs. They work closely with different departments to understand workflows and build solutions that improve collaboration and efficiency. This can include creating custom plugins, automating tasks, tweaking permissions, and building useful dashboards or reports. They also handle integrations with other systems and help troubleshoot any issues that come up. A strong understanding of Agile and DevOps environments is often important in this role. The job requires a mix of technical skills and clear communication, along with a focus on solving problems and making systems work better for everyone.
Responsibilities
+ Design and configure Jira Software and Jira Service Desk projects, request types, workflows, and automation rules to align with IT service delivery processes.
+ Customize Jira Software and Jira Service Desk screens, fields, and forms to capture relevant information for incident management and service requests.
+ Implement service level agreements (SLAs), queues, and reports to monitor and track IT service performance.
+ Design, implement, and maintain Advance Roadmap Plans with developing filters and layers for different views to meet customer's needs and requirements.
+ Confluence administration of the system's application, spaces, pages, permissions, and integrations.
+ Backend configuration and deployment of Atlassian tools.
+ Integrate Atlassian tools with other IT systems and tools, such as monitoring tools, asset management systems, and communication platforms.
+ Develop and maintain automation scripts, custom scripts, and plugins to streamline IT service delivery processes and improve efficiency.
+ Understanding the SAFe model based on the business needs.
+ Know how to map the business layers to the AR plans.
+ Understand how Kanban and Scrum data can be tracked in AR plans.
+ How to customize the AR plans according to different business scenarios.
+ Implement and maintain integrations with third-party applications, such as Confluence, Slack, and Microsoft Teams.
+ Develop custom solutions and extensions using Atlassian APIs, webhooks, and scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, JavaScript) to meet specific business requirements.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement enhancements to the Atlassian suite of tools.
+ Conduct code reviews, testing, and documentation of custom developments to ensure quality and maintainability.
+ Provide training and support to end-users, administrators, and stakeholders on each Atlassian tool's functionality, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
+ Act as a subject matter expert with the Atlassian suite of tools offered, provide guidance and recommendations on configuration options, customization opportunities, and software updates.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
+ 3+ years hands-on experience working with the Atlassian product suite, with specific focus on JIRA as an administrator and developer for Advanced Roadmap Plans.
+ Proven experience as an Atlassian administrator or developer, with a strong familiarity with the suite of Atlassian tools (mainly Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, Confluence, Bitbucket, Crowd), understanding the tools integration with IT service management principles and practices.
+ IAT Level II Certification (Security+, CCNA-Security, CySA, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP).
+ DoD Secret Clearance is required. Top Secret preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Proficiency in configuring and customizing Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, including workflows, request types, SLAs, automation rules, and Advance Roadmap Plan.
+ Adept at using JQL, AQL, and generating reports for dashboards.
+ Administering and maintaining Confluence Spaces, spaces, Bitbucket administration and repo management, and integration with other tools.
+ Working knowledge of Atlassian third-party marketplace plugins (e.g. Scriptrunner, ProForma, Rich Filters).
+ Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, JavaScript) and RESTful APIs for custom development and integration.
+ Familiarity with Agile methodologies, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket).
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
+ Current Atlassian certification and training is a plus.
+ ITIL certification is a plus.
