As a **Senior Product Service Engineer** , you’ll play a critical role in delivering cutting-edge energy transfer solutions that power the next generation of mining operations.

You’ll collaborate with engineering, product development, and field teams to ensure our solutions are not only innovative but also reliable, serviceable, and built to last.

Cat® Dynamic Energy Transfer is a fully Caterpillar-developed system that can transfer energy to both diesel-electric and battery-electric large mining trucks while they are working around a mine site. It can also charge a machine’s batteries while operating with increased speed on grade, improving operational efficiency and machine uptime.

What you will do:

+ Serve as a Senior Product Service Engineer for Energy Transfer New Production Introduction (NPI) programs.

+ Understand customer needs and preferences as they relate to reliability, durability, serviceability and uptime of our solutions.

+ Lead the development of New Product Introduction deliverables, including service and life cycle strategies, product support publications and service tooling & training capabilities.

+ Support site deployment and field follow at customer sites.

+ Working closely with proving grounds and mine site teams, support issue documentation and communication.

+ Contribute to root cause and correction action (RCCA), validation and measuring resolution effectiveness .

+ Advise on refinement of engineering requirements.

+ Provide input based upon field experience in system, component and sub-system design reviews.

+ Guide the RI Electrification Solutions team to develop and utilize product support standard work.

+ Recommend product quality targets.

What skills you will have:

**Technical Excellence:** Strong technical background in **product support, engineering, or field service** . Experience with **electrification, power systems or heavy equipment.** We’re looking for individuals who understand what it means to support a product in the field and ensure our customers get the most out of their equipment. You don’t need to know DET — we’ll teach you. What you do need is a strong foundation in product support: understanding customer needs, solving problems, and delivering value through service and expertise.

**Customer Focus:** Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

**Data Gathering & Analysis:** Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.

**Service Excellence:** Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.

**Consulting:** Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.

**Effective Communications:** Strong communication and facilitation skills.

**Problem Solving:** Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

**Relationship Management:** Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Top candidates will also have:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Understanding of mining equipment and mine site operations.

Experience with Caterpillar product development processes (APQP, PPRD, NPI, etc.).

Additional Information:

The primary work location for this role is Tucson, AZ, with a requirement to work on-site full-time at a Caterpillar facility.

This position may require 20-40 % global travel.

Domestic relocation assistance is available.

Summary Pay Range:

$126,000.00 - $189,000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
