Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor coordinates and facilitates warehouse activities involving the pulling, staging and returning of equipment. Responsible for the organization, upkeep and building maintenance of the warehouse
This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show-site based out of Austin, TX.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
+ Supervise part-time staff to ensure company procedures and employee policies are followed.
+ Evaluate staffing levels to ensure adequate resources are available for daily activities.
+ Assist the Transportation Manager in the overall planning and coordination of equipment logistics.
+ Coordinate with Freeman branch departments to evaluate proper staging needs for outbound and inbound equipment.
+ Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks and ensure trucks are loaded safely and equipment is properly secured.
+ Review warehouse procedures and space layout and make recommendations for improvements to enhance operational efficiencies.
+ Ensures that the warehouse is kept in an orderly fashion.
+ Conduct safety meetings to ensure safe practices are followed in the warehouse.
+ Assist Inventory Control with shipping and returning orders as required.
+ Assist Freeman branches and other Freeman department heads as needed.
+ Promote motivation, communication, teamwork and positive attitude between all Freeman employees.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
+ At least three (3) to five (5) years of prior operations experience.
+ At least three (3) years of strong people management experience.
+ Working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel required.
+ Previous Warehouse Management Systems experience is preferred.
+ Proven ability to work in an environment where you need to work under tight and changing deadlines is required.
+ Proven ability to think and act swiftly when issues arise is required.
