What You'll Do
As a Senior Associate on our Private Equity Real Estate team, you’ll play a key role in supporting investment decisions and portfolio strategy across our Real Estate Operating Company (REOC) platform. You’ll leverage your analytical and strategic skills to help drive performance, manage risk, and identify new opportunities.
In this role, you will:
+ **Evaluate and underwrite investments:** Develop and maintain financial models, perform valuation analyses, and assess portfolio diversification and performance metrics to inform investment decisions.
+ **Support transactions:** Contribute to the sourcing, due diligence, structuring, and approval of new REOC investments and dispositions. Prepare materials for investment committees and external investors that clearly communicate key findings and recommendations.
+ **Conduct market and portfolio research:** Lead in-depth analysis of real estate markets, property sectors, and macroeconomic trends to guide portfolio actions and identify emerging opportunities or risks.
+ **Drive portfolio insights and reporting:** Collaborate with internal asset management and acquisitions teams to ensure consistent, high-quality reporting and analysis. Create reports and presentations for clients, investors, and senior management.
+ **Engage with stakeholders:** Collaborate with REOC management teams, external advisors, and internal partners to ensure alignment across portfolio initiatives. Participate in client discussions and provide thoughtful analysis and recommendations.
+ **Contribute to strategic projects:** Support the development of new funds, separate accounts, and other initiatives that advance the platform’s growth.
+ **Take ownership of ad hoc initiatives:** Partner with portfolio management and senior leadership on special projects, white papers, and other high-impact deliverables.
Who You Are
+ Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, real estate, or accounting; MBA preferred
+ 5+ years of experience in real estate investment, asset management, or corporate real estate, with a strong grasp of valuation, market analysis, and portfolio strategy
+ Highly skilled in financial modeling and valuation techniques, with strong Excel capabilities
+ Comfortable preparing and presenting materials for investment or leadership review, turning data into clear insights and recommendations.
+ Self-starter who works independently, communicates effectively, and collaborates well across teams.
+ Strong analytical, organizational, and presentation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
+ Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.
Skills That Will Help You Stand Out
+ Hands-on involvement in underwriting or evaluating real estate transactions—and ideally some exposure to acquisitions, dispositions, development, portfolio performance analysis or mergers & acquisitions.
+ Experience supporting acquisitions, dispositions, development, or investment reviews, with the ability to translate analysis into clear recommendations is preferred.
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$123000 - $160000 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Our global headquarters in Des Moines, IA. Working a hybrid schedule (4 days in office) in Des Moines is highly preferred, but open to remote talent as well.
