MISSION / SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Supervisor is to work directly with and supervise a production workforce of approximately 50+/- employees per shift. This person will have responsibility for the day-to-day management for all aspects of the production process in accordance with operating targets, compliance with established customer quality and production standards.
**JOB FUNCTIONS:** Job functions included but are not limited to the following.
+ Manufacturing Supervisor schedule consist of 12-hour rotating days and nights – generally includes every other weekend off.
+ Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding.
+ Supervises and leads the day-to-day shift activities to includes: scheduling, material handling issues and maintenance, as well as resolving production issues and inspires team to achieve safety, quality productivity goals.
+ Drives consistent accountability of company policies and processes.
+ Encourages and lead team members to work in a safe manner. Supports safety standards and seeks to make improvement in work practices.
+ Maintains quality standards and uses Statistical Process Controls (SPC) techniques for problem resolution.
+ Develops technical knowledge of equipment capability.
+ Must consistently demonstrate GPI’s Core Values - Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork.
+ Actively participates in LEAN, 5S, Six Sigma and other continuous improvement programs and processes.
+ Must clearly understand customer requirements and deliver results to meet or exceed customer expectations.
+ Responsible and accountable to stop any process which is not meeting employee safety or customer quality requirements.
+ Back up to Department Manager as needed.
+ Partners with the department manager and the training supervisor to develop training assignments for all department employees and ensures timely completion.
+ Accurate and timely submission of daily pay period time records. Resolve all ADP time exceptions prior to end of pay period.
+ Oversees vacation schedule to ensure proper coverage is secured
+ Initiates new hire evaluations at 60 and 90 days providing accurate feedback related to performance.
+ Participates on interview panels as needed.
+ Other duties as assigned.
SCHEDULE DEMANDS:
+ General Production Supervisor schedules consist of 12-hour rotating days – generally includes every other weekend off, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or off weekends and be punctual while doing so.
+ Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.

Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree required; in lieu of degree, 1-2 years of Supervisory experience
+ Leadership training preferred
+ 2+ Years of manufacturing experience required
+ Experience in a front-line leadership position preferred

+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Highly skilled in Microsoft office applications.
Pay Range:** **$71,250.00** - **$95,000.00
