In this position...

+ We are seeking an experienced Audit Director to lead our global team of 25 dealer (franchise) auditors located in Dearborn, Michigan and around the world.

+ In this role, you will develop a strategy for auditing dealers leveraging the latest technology, develop a risk-based audit plan, manage dealer marketing incentive compliance audits, act as a trusted advisor to senior management, and drive ongoing improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of controls.

What you'll do...

+ Develop a strategy and operating model(s) for auditing dealership activities (compliance with the franchise agreement), leveraging data analytics, automation, professional standards, and audit technology to continuously improve audit efficiency, effectiveness, and coverage.

+ Conduct comprehensive assessment leading to an annual risk-based dealer audit plan. Deliver the annual audit plan with rigorous review of audit working papers, findings, and recommendations for accuracy. Deliver high-quality audit reports to dealers.

+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including dealers, Marketing management, and other functions. Act as a trusted advisor offering proactive insights and guidance on risk management, and controls.

+ Use relevant data to drive insightful communication with various internal stakeholders including Marketing leadership, regional management, and the Audit Committee leading to improvements in the control environment.

+ Manage and develop a team of dealer auditors, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

You'll have...

+ Bachelor's degree in Business (Accounting, Finance, Marketing).

+ 10+ years of experience in internal audit, external audit, risk management, or marketing incentives within a large, multinational organization.

+ Background in automotive, dealership / franchise, or marketing incentive compliance preferred.

+ Proven ability to lead teams and deliver operating objectives, working with cross-functional teams, and influencing stakeholders.

+ Superior analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.

+ Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

+ Understanding of internal control frameworks and professional auditing standards or a commitment to learn.
