Job Description:
This Operations Service Line Senior Manager position is an integral position within the Peaks Behavioral Health Service line that will be responsible for operations specific to ambulatory clinicians who provide therapy services (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LAC, etc.) within the Peaks regions. The Senior Manager will demonstrate effective leadership in developing a culture that empowers behavioral health clinicians to practice Intermountain Health values and ensures accountability for ambulatory care operations such as ensuring access to high-quality and equitable care for patients and their communities, caregiver and patient safety, financial stewardship and accountability, caregiver engagement, and strategic growth of the Behavioral Health Service Line.
This is a regional role and will report directly to the Behavioral Health Service Line Director and will have direct oversight of ambulatory behavioral health managers located in the three markets of the Peaks region (Western Colorado, Front Range Colorado, and Montana). This role will require the development of critical relationships between medical group leaders, site managers, and medical and behavioral health clinicians to ensure effective communication, efficient workflows, and fidelity to models of care. Additionally, this position will require participating in and facilitating multi-disciplinary teams, particularly in the area overseeing the integration of behavioral health into medical clinics.
The position will require the participation in regional committees that pertain to ambulatory behavioral health, particularly committees and meetings that impact ambulatory behavioral health operations such as finance and revenue cycle, credentialing and contracting, and strategy and implementation.
This is an in-person position that will require work Monday-Friday during regular business hours. This role requires attendance at onsite and regional meetings and will require travel around the region at least quarterly.
Essential Functions:
Strategic initiatives leadership:
+ Supports development and successful execution of multi-year Service Line strategy for operational, clinical and financial metrics.
+ Supports markets in achieving financial metrics through evaluating and achieving key operational best practices; supports market leaders in maintaining financial literacy relative to the service line industry trends; understands and adheres to all financial policies and procedures
+ Assists in developing standards and dashboards that provide information for governance oversight of the program and projects (e.g., status, budget, risk identification, issue mitigation).
+ Leads or collaborates with others to identify internal and external related best practices. Serves as a subject matter expert and a resource to others and provides day-to-day direction and other resources involved in their programs and projects.
Provider engagement:
+ Supports market leaders to engage providers in development and adoption of best practices, clinic design, and productivity models, that support healthy practices while maintaining engagement.
Project Management:
+ Partners with market leadership to support key initiatives of project implementation. Develops plans to organize and complete work, including implementation of initiatives, communication of key messages, and education of teams.
Caregiver Development:
+ May lead a team of direct reports with responsibilities including hiring, orienting, staff development, education, and performance management needed to build a cohesive team and promote employee engagement.
+ Mentors staff resources assigned to program by regularly advising, counseling, guiding, and providing feedback with the intent to effectively transfer knowledge to them. Identifies and selects high performing individuals who will assist with the achievement of program objectives.
+ Responsible for building clinical onboarding process, including credentialing and continued clinical competency of behavioral health clinicians
Patient care delivery systems:
+ Understands clinical policies and procedures, service line patient care delivery standards and ensures patient care is delivered in accordance with these delivery systems
+ Supports markets in tracking key indicators of performance by obtaining data and developing standardized reports.
+ Supports market and practice leaders in deploying operational standards (e.g. expected productivity, shifts, panel size, etc.)

Physical Requirements:
Required Qualifications
+ Experience working in a healthcare organization in a project or operations leadership role.
+ Experience managing large programs, preferably inclusive of a portfolio of projects.
+ Experience in a role utilizing advanced skills in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database management and project management tools, e.g.: MS Office Suite.
+ Demonstrated experience in management of organizational projects.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree in a business, healthcare management or healthcare related discipline.
+ Current clinical licensure in service line area of expertise
+ Five years of project management or operations experience with an Integrated Delivery Network (IDN).
+ Three years of healthcare leadership managing teams at various sites
+ Three years of program development and implementing service line strategies
+ Experience working within an Intermountain Healthcare facility or division.
+ Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Physical Requirements
+ Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
+ Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
+ Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
+ May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when the leader takes clinical shifts.
+ For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$50.97 - $78.69
