Your New Role…
The Senior Director, Concept Development will work on the development of revenue-driving cross-platform sponsorship opportunities. The role is responsible for building strong partnerships across the organization including CNN Editorial and CNN Sales. Ensures that strong creative ideas & content are developed which are aligned to the CNN brand and of interest to our audiences on all platforms. Manage the day-to-day assignments and team priorities around pitches for US editorial sponsorship.
Your Role Accountabilities…
+ Provides a strategic view on content solutions for sales and sponsorships
+ Works with the sales, editorial and the Insights team to develop new cross-platform sponsorship opportunities and to respond to sales briefs
+ Responsible for working in conjunction with the VP of Concept Development and editorial teams on editorial priorities to give direction in sponsorship pitches
+ Partners with editorial teams across linear and digital to ensure sponsorship ideas are well coordinated with their editorial teams.
+ Will be the day-to-day contact for the product team, staying across timeline updates and revenue opportunities in new products.
+ Plays a key part of the overall performance of direct reports including talent acquisition, performance management, career development and creating a high performing culture, as appropriate.
+ This person will work on a variety of projects and pitches simultaneously, often to tight deadlines.
+ They will visualize sponsorship concepts for sales; creating and presenting PowerPoint and Keynote presentations.
+ This person is a master collaborator and influencer who will lead meetings, pulling other teams together to meet objectives. Examples of this could include responding to a concept brief, communicating content plans, reviewing campaign performance reports, or discussing client deliverables.
+ The Sr. Director Concept Development will have a deep knowledge of how sponsorships work on different platforms and the difference between editorial and branded content. They will use this knowledge to create concept proposals that meets CNN’s editorial standards and contribute to CNN’s wider audience growth goals.
Qualifications & Experience…
+ A degree or equivalent in a related field.
+ Strong experience in digital media, geared towards features content
+ Experience developing projects within a content owner, commercial or agency environment
+ Experience researching and scoping digital projects
+ Experience working with varied teams, ideally remote teams
+ Strong knowledge of digital media landscape, platforms and markets
+ A positive attitude with a creative and pragmatic approach to problem-solving on the fly
+ Ability to manage many projects simultaneously
+ Ability to get things done and deliver results
+ Fluent in English

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $133,420.00 - $247,780.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
