Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Structural Project Designer** to join our team! In this role you will get to **support some of the most innovative and impactful infrastructure projects across Florida!**
What You'll Be Doing:
+ Coordinates execution of work assignments with respect to design approach, schedules, standards, budgets, and procedures to meet client scope of work requirements.
+ Assignments typically involve design elements for which there may be no clearly established precedents and require anticipation of problems at the outset in order to provide appropriate solutions.
+ Provides technical guidance to project design team in completing the most complex and difficult designs and layouts for complete systems and components of a project.
+ Ensures compliance with required specifications, tolerances, safety factors, and industry codes, as well as client requirements and company standards.
+ Performs specialized design computations and analysis within a given discipline.
+ Performs interdisciplinary reviews and provides coordination of data to ensure a compatible design.
+ Provides direction to a team of checking personnel, ensuring the mathematical accuracy of the drawings produced.
+ Participates in checking orthographic (2D) and isometric (3D) drawings prepared by others.
+ Provides manpower estimates as required.
+ Understands and applies commonly used company design standards and methods.
+ Provides input to the establishment or revision of guidelines and standards.
+ Collaborates with Engineers and other engineering disciplines to ensure quality of design
+ Reviews supplier data and supplier/manufacturer drawings, as required.
+ May train lower-level Designers in various procedures.
+ May serve as Lead CAD Designer on a small to medium-sized project.
+ Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
+ Associate's Degree 2-year technical degree (or equivalent) is preferred
+ 10+ years of related experience
+ Advanced computer skills
+ CAD proficiency
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
+ Previous experience supporting FDOT Infrastructure projects is preferred.

Salary Range: $48.51 - $84.90
