As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
2nd Shift Union Maintenance Technician position in Innovative Bio-Medical Research Facility with Great Benefits.
Hours are - Tues-Sat 1:30PM-10:00 PM
What you’ll do
Assist with repairs of buildings and installed systems to include (but not limited to): plumbing systems, building equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.
Perform Preventative Maintenance and Reactive tasks, as needed.
Complete Work Orders safely while wearing all appropriate PPE.
Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety laws.
Maintain facility grounds and property by performing tasks such as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing or snow removal.
Clean fixtures, perform light carpentry/furniture assembly and locksmith tasks.
Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
What you’ll need
+ High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
+ Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
+ May require wastewater treatment license.
+ May require valid driver's license.

Union Benefits:
This position is a union role, though applicants are not required to be existing members of the union to apply. Prior to onboarding this new hire will need to join the local union. Pay rate is outlined in our Collective Bargaining Agreement (“CBA”) with the union and benefits are from the union:

The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable
Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the Union position is
$32.65 per hour. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale.
