Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for a passionate Project Engineer to join our dynamic Traffic Planning group at our Gilbert, AZ office! Responsibilities

+ Apply broad knowledge of principles and practices in a specific area.

+ Independently evaluate, select and adapt standard techniques, procedures and criteria.

+ Design complete projects, systems, components or processes.

+ Prepare advanced general and basic non-routine engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.

+ Prepare complete project documents.

+ Analyze and interpret data, formulate and solve problems.

+ Prepare scopes of work, budgets and schedule assignments.

+ Assist with proposal development for professional services.

+ Provide direction to engineers, technicians and administrative staff.

+ Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work.

+ Attend meetings and present specific components of assignments.

+ Work within AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation to complete projects within established budgets and deadlines.

+ Perform field investigations/ site visits as needed.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.

+ 4+ years of transportation/traffic engineering experience required.

+ PE license in AZ or through reciprocity is also required.

+ Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation and other related software packages.

+ Demonstrate advanced, general and basic non-routine knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, principles and practices.

+ Demonstrate advanced technical and nontechnical writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

+ Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
